Quintiq, part of Dassault Systèmes, is looking is looking for a General Ledger Accountant.
You will be part of the Shared Services Centre (SSC) team to ensure smooth delivery of Finance transactions and operational services to Business Units stakeholders globally in accordance with Dassault Systemes policies/procedures, and ensuring delivery quality in terms of accuracy, completeness and timeliness.

You will be part of the Shared Services Centre (SSC) team and report directly to the General Ledger Manager, who is based in Quintiq's Global Development Center in Kuala Lumpur.
This role is based in Quintiq's Global Development Center in Kuala Lumpur.
Type of employment
This is a full-time permanent role. You will be confirmed in your post following a three-month probation period.

Performs booking of general accounting transactions including payroll, tax, fixed assets, payments validations and general ledger close entries for the business units in Asia.
Manage balance sheet accounts and perform monthly balance reconciliations and follow up on any discrepancies
Maintain accounting process to comply with IFRS, local GAAP and statutory requirements, where applicable and safeguard company assets e.g. account analysis, reconciliations
Perform the month-end close process and ensure all key deadlines are met (includes coordination with other processes), partnering with the local Point of Contact and Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Provide year-end audit support for statutory requirements partnering with the local Point of Contact and FP&A
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of reports
Respond and resolve queries on general accounting issues from local Point of Contact and FP&A on a timely basis
Drive consistency and cost effectiveness; ensure compliance with all Company policies, accounting procedures, regional regulations, and laws where applicable
Assist in planning and executing process transition activities with Business Units stakeholders, FP&A team and other team members
Propose and assist in implementing process improvements
Performs other duties as and when delegated i.e. back-up, business process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects
Candidate must possess at least a professional certificate, bachelor's degree, or professional degree in finance/accountancy or equivalent
Fluency in English essential and in general, knowledge of other languages a plus
At least 5 years working experience in the accounting, finance or related field required
Knowledge and experience of using ERP systems is a must and experience with ERP implementations is advantageous
Experience working with international business operations in Europe/ US preferred
Previous experience working in a Finance Shared Service Centre or business process outsourcing engagement preferred
Strong analytical skills as well as a good foundation in accounting, with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills in English and other languages
Ability to work well in a team environment with a wide variety of personnel from multiple disciplines and cultures
Able to work independently and as a team member
Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
Very strong drive, dedication and work ethics
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word)
