Quintiq, part of Dassault Systèmes, is looking for an R&D Software Forensic Expert.
You will work in the Research & Development (R&D) department. You will mainly focus on improving the Quintiq software by performing detailed root-cause analysis of complex software problems. Your main contacts will be consultants implementing Quintiq solutions on the one hand, and R&D developers responsible for particular components of the Quintiq software on the other hand. You will provide project teams all over the world with technical software expertise to help them with the problems they might experience. Your passion is to get to the very bottom of the software-related incidents and solving those incidents is very rewarding for you. That is why you double your efforts where others give up.

Department & supervisor
The R&D department is responsible for the development of the Quintiq Application Suite, a software product used for the modelling of state-of-the-art Supply Chain Planning & Optimization solutions. The core of R&D is situated in ‘s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. You will be working in a close-knit, informal atmosphere, with highly capable and friendly colleagues. The R&D department contains small and flexible teams, each responsible for a specific area of the software. It thus provides an interesting, versatile and challenging environment where each individual can naturally evolve and develop his/her skills, play a unique role in the success of the whole team, and share in the department’s pride which is our software suite. You will report to Team Lead R&D Software Forensics.
This role is based at the Quintiq Headquarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. We expect you to work with colleagues around the world.

Lead and facilitate the root-cause analysis of critical software problems with the help of your colleagues in R&D;
Prepare and document Requests for Change in the software;
Participate in working out of particular solutions for the identified problems;
Address difficult questions about Quintiq software and about its design/capabilities;
Productize software knowledge by documenting and communicating your findings, experience and lessons-learned;
Lead and own internal improvement projects (software quality, more effective support/development processes, etc).
BSc/MSc in computer science, or in business administration with sound computer science skills;
High abstraction capabilities and analytical skills;
Passion for identifying, analyzing and solving of the complex software problems;
Understanding of the modern software architecture;
Experience with object-oriented 3rd/4th generation languages (e.g. C++, Java, Prolog, LISP, etc);
Experience with object-oriented modelling methodologies (e.g. UML);
Affinity with the domain of supply chain planning and optimization is a clear advantage;
